"Bulgaria's Bansko ski resort has been selected by the International Ski Federation to orgaize alpine skiing World Cup starts for both man and women during the 2011/2012 season. The Bulgarian resort has been selected to host two starts each for both men and ladies. Bansko was chosen to replace the men's starts originally scheduled due to the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Asian country. During the next season, Bansko will also host the Women World Cup Slaom and Super Giant Slalom Race on February 25 and 26. Only four other alpine skiing hosts have the privilege to be included in the calendar for both men and women for the upcoming World Cup - French Val d'Isere, Caadian Lake Louise, German Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Russian Sochi, where the next Winter Olimpis will take place."
