Dek Kent
 

Dek first strapped on a snowboard at Halifax Dry Ski Slope approximatly 5 years ago (he can't remember the exact details!). Dek does know that he started Snowboarding seriously in October 2003 when Castleford Xscape Indoor Snow slope opened. Riding at Cas Vegas until he passed his ASBI course in 2005, he then started teaching full time at the slope. In May 2006 Dek completed his BASI Snowboard Instructor qualifaction in Zermatt, Switzerland.

He is now spending his Winter months teaching here in Bansko while working towards the highest BASI qualification.

In addition, Dek believes that taking his photo will steal part of his soul, however we feel his profile picture is a good likeness. Dek is the ONLY person you'd like to get stuck in the back country with as he taught Ray Mears all he knows.

Dek is also a qualified and experienced tattoo artist, and examples can be seen on a few of the Method Team!
