Alec first strapped on a snowboard at Halifax Dry Ski Slope approximatly 5 years ago (he can't remember the exact details!). Alec does know that he started Snowboarding seriously in October 2003 when Castleford Xscape Indoor Snow slope opened. Riding at Cas Vegas until he passed his ASBI course in 2004, he then started teaching full time at the slope. In May 2006 Alec completed his BASI Snowboard Instructor qualifaction in Zermatt, Switzerland.

He is now spending his Winter months teaching here in Bansko while working towards his BASI Teacher qualification.
